South Side Chicago Car-Pedestrian Critically Injures Three

A south side Chicago car-pedestrian collision left three people in critical condition in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood early Saturday morning. The accident reportedly involved a Chicago Fire Department (CFD) sport utility vehicle, an AT & T truck and a pedestrian. According to reports, the Chicago car crash occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m. at the intersection of South Kedzie and West 59th St. The force of the collision sent the Fire Department vehicle over the sidewalk curb where it struck an elderly female pedestrian.

The 71 year -old pedestrian accident victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment of her injuries following the accident. The drivers of the Chicago Fire Department vehicle and the AT & T truck reportedly suffered critical injuries as a result of the car accident. Those motorists were taken to Holy Cross Hospital. The Chicago car-pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
