Plainfield, IL, Car Accident Critically Injures Two

A motor vehicle accident left two Chicago area women critically injured earlier this week in southwest suburban Plainfield, IL. The Illinois car accident occurred on East Renwick Road near the intersection of South McClellan Ave around 3:00 a.m. According to Plainfield Fire Department Lt. Joe Bickerton, a vehicle was travelling westbound on East Renwick Road when the driver lost control of the car. The vehicle slid off the roadway and rammed into a telephone pole. One of the car accident victims was thrown from the car as the telephone poll was severed in half.

The women, who were both in their early twenties, were transported by ambulance in critical condition to St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL. A medevac helicopter was initially dispatched to the scene but was unable to land due to inclimate weather. The Chicago area car accident is still under investigation.
