Five individuals including a newborn infant were injured this morning in a two vehicle Chicago car crash near the United Center on Chicago’s West Side. Reports indicate that the Chicago car crash involved two sport utility vehicles. According to Chicago Police, the Chicago car crash occurred at around 2:00 a.m. on the 1800 block of West Warren Boulevard when a 2006 Toyota Highlander struck a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche head-on. The driver of the Highlander reportedly admitted to authorities that his vehicle’s global positioning system directed him the wrong way on a one way street.
Both the driver of the Highlander, a 21 year old Massachusetts man, and his 23 year old male passenger were injured in the Chicago car accident. The 39 year old driver of the Avalanche was also injured along with his two passengers, an infant and a teenage girl. All of the Chicago car accident victims were hospitalized and were initially listed by Chicago Fire Department Officials in serious to critical condition. The driver of the Highlander received a traffic citation for driving the wrong way down a one way street.
