An early morning Chicago car accident has left one dead and three others injured in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood. The fatal car accident occurred at the corner of Jackson St. and California Ave. around 3:30 a.m. this morning. According to reports, the collision left a maroon and gray southbound van flipped onto its roof. An unidentified sports utility vehicle was also left smoldering in the middle of the intersection following the car accident. The car was too damaged to be identified.
According to Chicago Fire Department Spokesman Larry Langford, the injured individuals were transported to Stroger Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital. The three injured victims were reportedly in serious to critical condition. The deceased individual, who was the driver of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the car crash are still under investigation.
